I Want a Present

For the last two days Ian has been begging for a present.

I made the mistake of coming home from the store with a little car for him once and now he seems to think he gets presents all the time.

Last night he turned to me randomly and said, "I want a present."
"Sorry kid I don't have a present for you, and presents are only for special days."

He didn't care for my logic.

Again today he begged for a present.

This time however I got wise and dug around in the tote of his toys I put away. I like to cycle his toys in and out to keep the feeling fresh. It seems it was time for something fresh.

So he got his Mr. Potatohead back and he played with it pretty much all day nonstop.

  1. Love that. I've done the cycling thing once and it worked great when I dug the old toys back out.

  2. Smart woman!

That's a pretty neat idea, the cyling of the toys. I'm going to file that away.

  3. I've heard that can be effective, cycling toys. Sounds like it worked great with Ian!
