It wasn't working.
He was really wound up and very wiggly. So I thought maybe some "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" might getting him calming down. It worked before, I had no reason to think it wouldn't work again.
I got about halfway through the song and Ian looked me straight in the face, put his finger to his nose and said, "Mom, shhh."
Ok, fine! How about "You Are My Sunshine," the song I have been singing to him since his birth.
Nope! Again I got the "Mom, Shhh!"
I think he might have outgrown me singing to him.
Where did my baby go?
I love the way Ian points to his nose when he says "shhh."
I know if it was one of my step kids, it wouldn't be because they'd outgrown my singing, it would be because my singing it so bad!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the t-shirt. "I do my own stunts". Ha!
I still think that photo is AWESOME. You must keep singing, just so that he keeps shhhing you. :)
ReplyDeleteAt least Ian is more polite about it. Jack yells and Josh and I to stop singing. He shouts "NO MAMA!" and frantically waves his arms out in front of him in a "stop" gesture.
